Non-American here. Somewhere around early 2016 I was wondering who are you guys gonna elect this time. Bernie was all the hype on Reddit, so I lurked around to see what's it all about. One repeating theme was an absolute dumpster fire called The_Donald. Naturally, I had to see that, so off to T_D I went. And saw nothing of the kind. But the moment I knew that Trump was the real deal was when someone there linked Scott Adams' blog. It was like a peek "behind the curtain" - once I understood why he does what he does and why does it work, I gained immunity to fake news.
No wonder he's winning the deceased vote!
