One thing to remember and my biggest qualm with signal is once you sign on it and let it see your contacts then every single person with signal with your number in their contacts gets notified your number joined signal. That was a big problem when my banker friend with 5000+ contacts ran into when he downloaded the app.
Maybe I am just an optimist but my hope is that companies will realize cloud computing is too dangerous for any sort of critical infrastructure. Like gab, they need to purchase and own their own servers. I can't recall another time Amazon AWS ever denied a customer. Netflix uses a lot of AWS infrastructure and they had cuties which is objectionable so maybe we should brigade Amazon AWS on Twitter asking them why they let cuties, clearly child p, on their servers? At the same time brigade Netflix asking them what they will be doing if Amazon cancels them because they are a streaming competitor and will cuties or another show as the excuse to kill them competitively. Conservatives can play the same game as the left and it's about time we start to.
How safe is this site? Does it have its own servers or backup plan when the left tries to deplatform it? I dont need to know where the Donald is hosted but hope there is a solid backup plan.
I saw on the Amazon AWS Twitter account a massive pressure campaign in the comments to have them ban parler from AWS servers. I have no idea what datacenter this website runs on (probably best not to tell everyone), but is there a backup plan if the left starts pressuring to get this site taken down?
They do this crap to me at work but I have a virtually undetectable way around it. Essentially I have a server at home running docker containers. One container has DELUGEVPN and privoxy in it. I ssh from work to my home computer, port forward the privoxy port to localhost, and then I use a proxy switcher for Chrome to use my proxy server at home through the ssh tunnel. Your proxy server will be localhost:<forwarded port number>. It works, traffic is encrypted, so it is relatively safe.
I CAN'T CALL! I'm in Tennessee visiting and the Internet and LTE is out for over a day now. I'm at Starbucks now trying to dl as much as I can before going home. At our house in a city 40 miles from Nashville there is no AT&T internet, no AT&T VOIP, the LTE for AT&T isn't working and Tmobile is spotty as heck. I heard Georgia is affected as well so that's a lot of pedes in GA (if true) that can't call. It is so frustrating.

This is so f'd up. I have a thick skin but my wife survived the Khmer jungle. Her mom gave her last bit of gold to a corrupt doctor (also prisoner) to save her younger sister by giving her a salt iv drip that didn't work. She died as a small toddler.
