And Coonman removed the voter ID requirement a few days ago.
Seriously, the three things the D-controlled legislature and Coonman have spent any time on since last November are stripping out the Commonwealth's election integrity laws, implementing red flag laws and attempting a CA-style 2nd Amendment lockdown, and pushing the abortion agenda. And now of course with the WuFlu they will punish the citizens of VA as harshly as possible in order to reeeeeesist Trump and getting things back to normal.
They've behaved like a right-wing caricature of left-wing loonies, and it hasn't even been 12 months since the election.
Yes. And don't have stupid bling on the weapon(s) you would ever need to use in a self-defense situation. Nothing says "Seriously, I was only defending myself" to a prosecutor like a Punisher slide cover plate on your Glock.
Those are the "least" bad reasons to fire a warning shot. Reason #1 is:
If you fired a warning shot, you must not have felt in immediate fear for your life, and therefore discharging your firearm was inappropriate.
That's the logic the police/courts will use.
Here is a good primer. Suggest following the links and going deep.
The media hysteria tells you things aren't going the way they want, or were supposed or planned to. Direct censorship, deliberate deceptive editing, banning OANN, the complete faceplanting (like Madcow and the USNS Comfort), and the media in the press briefings getting progressively more deranged and immature as the days go by are all signs. They're being forced to do 180 degree flips on why orange man bad in the span of mere days. All of the anti-HCQ lunacy completely blew up in the faces.
He was supposed to stand there and say fuck you, it's all media hysteria, wash your damn hands and go back to work, while they terrified the country 24x7 that he was choosing the economy over their health. That would be the hill he died on, because the media got their panic. What kills me is that they actually thought, after 4 years of evidence, that he would choose to fight an unwinnable battle on their terms. That he would call the models bullshit and give them a Trump vs. Science story, Trump wants you to die so his hotels don't lose money, etc. Instead they've been forced to constantly react, and that's why all these pre-planned gotchas and narratives are both ridiculous when they're launched and when they blow up in their faces a few days later.
They're also starting to realize that by boxing him into making this a literal federal emergency, they handed him a loaded gun, and he's going to use this to break the back of Chinese outsourcing among other things. Nobody is going to stand for the status quo after this, especially after 3M.
But Trump refusing to fight that battle doesn't mean it was avoided. It's guaranteed that his people are keeping their fingers on the pulse of things and building a timeline for when they know they've got the right public sentiment in the right places for that battle to happen at Trump time and place of choice.
Everything you need to know about how he operates and reacts, about how to build a decently predictive model for specific kinds of decisions he will make, has been all out there for anyone to see for decades. I cannot fathom the level of arrogance and ignorance it must have taken for them to conclude his most likely course of action would have been to fight that battle and give them the Trump's Economy vs. The People story. These people are stupid.
Maybe he shouldn't have run his mouth to the reeeeeeesistance enemedia about the readiness of the multi-billion dollar strategic asset under his command, or his opinions of his bosses decisions. I'm pretty sure doing that kind of thing gets you fired from most jobs.
Simplified layman's version:
Sovereign immunity basically means that you can't sue the government without the government's consent, because (among other reasons) the party you are suing would also be the arbiter of the suit (the Judicial branch).
The meme is misleading, the WH wasn't claiming sovereign immunity.
To be fair, I don't consider $35/seat for an evening at the symphony to be a "rich people only" activity (this is a real price from 2020). Compared to the rest of DC it's actually pretty reasonable.
That said it doesn't surprise me in the least that they planned a little money laundering here with this, with the juicy bonus of shafting the people who actually make the building operate in the first place.
What truth? The TV has been screaming for weeks now that the end times are upon us, millions will die, we definitely don't have enough of anything we need to go around, and Trump is going to send the National Guard to lock you in your house at gunpoint at any minute. US totals passing China's "official" numbers was a celebration. It's been 24x7 fear porn from almost all sides for weeks now, of course people are going to snap are start hoarding up anything useful.
If the media was telling the truth, the "panic" would have been more akin to pre-snowstorm or pre-hurricane type stuff, and the pipeline for the prophylactic hydroxycholoroquine regimen would already been in full swing.
If you haven't noticed, all those "if trump cured cancer memes" came true with this. The media whipping up a panic, and then ham-handedly trying to suppress and discredit a highly effective and inexpensive treatment for that panic, will be the last red pill a lot of people need to take.
It also goes to show how completely and utterly useless it is to even think about compromising or working with these people. Despite four years of entirely one-sided evidence, the media refuses to accept that when people see Trump live, they like what they see. I don't just mean publicly, I mean they genuinely don't believe it. WIth all of the evidence of the past four years, I cannot fathom how anyone rational who wanted to hurt Trump would allow him on camera live, much less demand it. At this point I have to believe "His numbers are up because he's telling people the lies they want to hear" is a genuine rationalization on their part, and not just an excuse to try to censor him. These people will never accept that anyone other than a subhuman hillbilly could possibly have anything but contempt for Trump and Trump supporters.
This is why saying china or wuhan or whatever virus is now racist. It's why they're screaming not to listen to him and that he's giving false hope. This is why the people who said blocking flights from China was racist before it wasn't doing enough are now saying he's doing too much.
If you thought the people who woke up over Kavanaugh, or muh Russia, or muh peach mints, were pissed, wait until people don't get mountains of corona corpses. Wait until the news starts hysterically screaming that it was all a big nothingburger and Trump overreacted and panicked everybody.
It's one thing to be pissed when you realize the entire media has been lying to you about "politics". It's another when you realize that you've been stuck in your house and fighting your neighbors for TP for a couple of weeks because they lied to you.
Thank you pede! Pretend you're talking to a complete noob/idiot (because you are)...if I have for instance somethign like an RSP1A and a PC, what else what I need, what kinds of antenna, etc?
Any "Start here, ham dummy" links you can point me to?
TIL there are other reasons for putting a belt around your neck.
