Not sure that study is the be-all and end-all. I would be hesitant to use this study to prove what we know. the article itself calls some of the problems with it, and anyone is going to use this to trivialise the results (which, we're close, but still fewer mask wearers got COVID.
I think the problem was not the Mask wearing, but people just plain ignoring it, and going about their own lives. As much as we fuckin' hate it, social distancing works. My kids have never been healthier (forgetting COVID) and that's cuz they didn't get to see many other kids.
