All types of oils go rancid. Peanut butter is full of oil and goes rancid. These are not long term storage foods. They might be your first foods of choice during emergencies or to trade/barter. But this has never been necessary and won't be in the future. We are not a desert island or third world dump. Please research before you take anyone's advice on anything.
