Nolte wrote an article mid-May, three weeks ago, that states the opposite...using CNN polls no less. He clearly isn't scrupulous about using whatever data source he sees fit to build a headline.
He begins his article by saying he doesn't believe polls, but believes the trends...and uses the polls to "prove" their existence. If the polls are bullshit, any conclusion or trend they show must also be bullshit. But it let him get snarky and gloomer-mode and highlight all the things he thinks Trump does wrong.
