I hear you and you make a great point. But in reality, if they did this, they are gonna do this shit at 2 am. By the time everyone wakes up APG will already be prepping. They can be in the capital in under 24 hours from the word “Go” if they had to, it’s only an hour drive. Much quicker if they have already been called up. Quick and easy and now you have to convince these patriotic citizens to basically invade an occupied territory on a moment’s notice with no centralized leadership. That is a tall tall task. Long term I see what you are talking about but I don’t think anyone could stop these states from getting in there before us. Logistically it would be a fucking nightmare for us
