Well where I live, in Quebec, every single buissness, we need to wear masks. Outside, no enforcing. But if you are in a protest, they will give you tickets costing 1600+CAD (around 1150USD). Id say Quebec city is 10x more beautiful, for the history and centre is smaller and more eventful. Montreal is nice aswell, but is 10x larger and harder to get around. It's worth a visit, but don't be surprised when people treat you different for the soul reason that you speak English and cannotnspeaknfrench
I'm a English Canadian myself who lives in the greater Montreal area. Honestly, lots of people around here are conformers, especially in the higher education system, that Im a part of. Everyone has the same opinion in the city, and people who oppose anything the Marxist teachers propose, you're either a) outnumbered 10 to 1, b) or think what you say is idiotic or c) find any excuse to bring trump into a conversation. It's quite ridiculous. That's the English Montrealers, the french Montrealers, it's all that, put on top the fact that most of them can't actually read or understand English, so their view of the USA is misinformed to the nth degree, plus all that Quebec seperatist bs. Can't wait to get my basically free degree and get the fuck out of this hell hole
