Perhaps you have more insight than I do into that.
All I see are apathetic people gradually losing what took generations to build. And all you have to do to keep them occupied is release a new iPhone or some garbage on Netflix.
In any case, I wouldn't fight for a second for this place now. I'll be long gone by the time any serious shit goes down.
New Zealander here - everyone is pretty much a zombie here. They all watch MSM. The whole country is extremely feminised. NZ is on the decline, slow at first and then it'll go fast. My wife and I are setting up to leave in 2023.
I'm a foreigner on the other side of the world and I have never been this tense for ANY event in my 40 years on this planet. I hope to God you guys get this done. The very best of luck.
New Zealand co-signs the above.
New Zealand checking in. Many people here love him in secret - but most get their news from the corporate press and have savage TDS. Our main broadcaster is government owned. You do the math.
I also have stong links to Japan..over there they can't figure out why so many people don't like Trump. Their media is FAR more balanced on Trump than any of the western corporate press.
My wife and I wish you guys luck, get out and vote, we really would love to see that Red Tsunami. I have the day off work for the election.
I'm from New Zealand - so obvioulsy I can't vote. But I am cheering you guys on from the sidelines. Get out there and vote no matter what. Get this thing done!
Definitely Yokohama in that bottom picture - but, I take your point.
We have become an apathetic people over the last 40 years. We replaced our traditions with consumerism, we went from community to individualism. We became convinced of our own cleverness, and we discounted the views of anyone warning us we were on the wrong path.
We allowed education to teach compassion, but not responsibility. We became very negative about ourselves. (I very much admire the love Americans have for themselves) - most people here mock that.
We have been very gradually losing altitude my whole life - so gradually that most people don't see that we are on a collision course with the ground. But I cannot even imagine a force that could intervene to fix this now. As I said above, the decline is still happening slowly...but there will be a point of swift decent on a long enough timeline. My best hope is that my family are able to live out their years before it really goes bad - and I suspect they will be ok. for me and my wife - we need 3 more years of our jobs here, and then we can pack up for good.
