I tested positive... but don't have symptoms. I'm a cancer patient with a messed up immune system. I thought I was being extra careful. Now I'm in isolation and have to test negative twice before I can get treatment again. I don't even know where I got the virus. I'm a shut in.

Prairie dogs have had the plague for years. I'm not surprised that a squirrel could have it

If previous pandemics are any indication, then there maybe another wave or two before this is over. Infections are on the rise and with that people who suffer from severe disease will rise as well. It's a strong possibility that life as we all knew it will not be coming back anytime soon.

That's a rough 33. Whew.

Seriously, cancer can go fuck itself. I'm going through chemo too. I started treatment right when all the covid-19 business started. Stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma. I'm with you in body and spirit. Stay strong but know it's okay to let yourself feel. Your wife and kids are there suffering with you too. Love is how you can get through this. Whatever happens, love will give you the strength to move forward.

It's a shame...the kids will suffer the most from all of this.

Many are against the teachers already, I've seen the rhetoric here and on the OG sub over the years. People are experts on pedagogy behind their keyboards. They think all teachers are out to brainwash their kids but don't lift a finger at home to ensure a good education for their children.

It's a bit frustrating. I'm tired and have chemo brain. Sorry for sounding negative. Keep doing your best and good luck.

It may have to be a hybrid class setup. I didn't have the joy of being at my job for online teaching due to a major medical event. At the elementary level kids should be in a structured environment even for part of the week. I think my school is doing limited class sizes three days out of the week and online study for the other two. Then again I work at a charter school so the rules are different ish

I cannot emphasize this enough! So many people are letting negativity dwell in their hearts. We gotta do better and post this kind of stuff.... and more awesome memes. That's what brought me to the donald in the first place.

If you feel compelled to not wear a mask that's up to you. I just think trying to shame people one way or another is flawed. It's the same tactic the leftists use. "Shame on them for doing something that I don't agree with". Honestly I'm not trying to pick shit, just giving an opinion.

Um so the guy feels comfortable wearing a mask. What's your point? He is not infringing on your freedom to wear it or not.

That was beautiful, a breath of fresh air. Need more people like him to go through and put an end to this temper tantrum.

Yeah I know to stay the hell away from risky situations. I basically have become a shut in since chemo started, which has been killing the shit out of the tumors btw=)

I will probably take the vaccine after it's been out for awhile. Call me silly but I want to trust medical science to protect people. It's probably naive, but everyone has a choice over their own bodies. Thanks for sharing the information you have collected. Take care as well.

I hope you are right my friend. I will admit I am afraid of another major increase of cases....but I have cancer and my immune system is toast right now. Hell, a normal run of the mill cold could take me out let alone the wuflu. I'm sure healthy people are more than able to fight this thing. Herd immunity seems like the path forward while we wait for a vaccine.

Teacher here. Try Khan academy, it has a range of subjects and slices info thin so the kids can learn and understand easier. Best of all, it's free

You are probably not. Everyone walks their own path. We are just people who are glad hildawg is not in power. Your beliefs are yours and anyone who judges you for them needs to stop and look at themselves first.

We have higher numbers because we are A) testing more than other countries and B) the response to the virus is based on individual states. The big cities like L.A. and New York are the biggest contributors of the total number of infections. Also, we might have a big problem with hotspots popping up all around the country due to the reactive approach rather than a proactive.

Anyway I wouldn't trust the reports from other countries, except for maybe Taiwan.

Tbh I think that is what he is waiting for. Once we have a viable treatment that reduces the severity of the illness, he can open up the economy again. I have kinda pulled myself out of the loop the past few weeks on this thing so if there's anything out there for a solid treatment, then it won't be long. Have patience and use this time to reflect on life.
