But our country has always had a race problem. Since before we were a country, there was race based slavery here until the 1860s. Afterwards, you have a significant minority that was still treated poorly, and basically living as defacto slaves, at least here in the south where I'm from, all the way up until the world wars. Around that time, marxist subversion started to take place here. Think 1950s, mccarthy era, then the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
