This can end up being a long game. Larger counties will have a long established rhinos that can be hard to upseat. Getting as many people as you can to sign up for PCOs can weaken the board and the PCOs can then decide who they want to back. The central board generally can't endorse a specific candidate but they can throw resources like volunteers and such at them. I feel like it's important to get involved so you can understand why things are the way they are on a ground level and go from there.

Get involved in the Republican party and change it from the inside by bringing in more like minded people and vetting better candidates. I've done it. A third party will ensure Dems stay in power forever.
