Muh immersion. I want to hear the crowd cheer as POTUS steps off AF1 not listen to the same music I'd already hear in the background as they cheer

Why do streams have to inject music? I only want to hear the crowd and the speakers they hear.

I watched 2 accuse each other for over 30 messages last night. Both of opposing views.. I like to think it was a good 1 and a bad 1 of competing ABCs. Realistically, probably neither but it was entertaining watching them argue.

It went from a chill TD.W to 4chan pretty quick.

I'll add one more, at least I'm not a cheesemaker.

When I got into gaming after college I gamed consistently with 1 kid from silvers all the way up to LEM. At that point I realized I was holding him back. Encouraged him to form a team with his friends and get into ESEA. He was in the same situation as me when I was a kid.. parents thought he was wasting time blah blah. I ended up sending him my 780TI GPU when I upgraded as well as $500 worth of parts to complete it. He, and they got pretty damn good. I decided to start an org with a buddy, and paid their fees for the first season of ESEA. Word got around and an even better team came to us.

Bud tried to take my 3 year plan and do it in 3 months so it became a complete cluster fuck of a failure and embarrassment. We were both alcoholics at the time, 6 months sober btw. So we got in a fight and he quit. I encouraged the best team to jump ship when they got the opportunity.

Anyways, kid told me he didn't want to be a pro anymore. Asked why? He told me he wanted to join the AF as a pilot so I encouraged him to do it. I know he was taking classes and logging flight time in HS. I'll have to check in on him next time I get on steam and see him on. Very well could be serving our country in the skies for the AF right now.

2 of the kids from our best team went on to play professionally with various orgs 2 big names. 1 was on Cloud9 but is still active in the scene, 1 was on Dignitas but recently retired and in college.

I had a good relationship with the captain so we talked a lot and still keep in touch. The other I didn't get to know too well and he deleted me when they left so I assume he didn't like me much lol

I tried to pay it forward.
The two I impacted most thanked me years later, so atleast I feel like I did something right.

Reminding myself to check this later in case an elder answers, all I know of is Bush v Gore when they found if the paper punches weren't done clean the machine wasn't reading them.

In the late 19th-century, Jacob H. Myers invented his lever-operated “Automatic Booth” voting machine, an engineering marvel that would come to dominate American elections from 1910 through 1980.

I'd say that's where it could've started but there's been fraud since there's been elections. Idk about forensic audits but signature checks are a pretty standard thing. You can probably find examples in every election at county level. Never a coordinated wide-spread effort as this, that I know of.

I'd be interested in a large scale numbers of what people actually think about the Wu. I bet the % that thinks it's BS is a lot higher than we think.. probably why no numbers have come around. It's easier to fight by taking off your mask, or memeing your mask. After all, we know they don't like evidence.

My parents gave me love, don't get me wrong. Dad worked his ass off and at his peak was President at a big factory, for a pretty big company in it's industry. Mom stopped working Kid 1 to raise us and would PT nights if things got tight. Dad may've never been around enough to understand my interests but coached 2 soccer teams every week. Also, never missed a game up til my last at 18.

Him not being supportive of technology was his only flaw. Instead of going to Vegas as planned I bought/built my first computer with a GPU for my college graduation present. I wanted one of those so bad as a kid.. competed in amateur leagues (CAL) of America's Army (old FPS) with like 15-20 frames on lowest settings possible. My computer was so bad lol it literally couldn't run CS1.6 and this was when it was all still for bragging rights.

Different walks of life, but I was still very blessed.

You can give your kid the world, but it's so important to be a part of it too.

Which is exactly why based millennials must do a better job. You can still let your kids enjoy those things with their friends. But you can also lead them into productive means. Oh you like games? You know you can make games?

Long but relevant:
I was creating websites on geocities/angelfire when I was in 2nd-4th grade of the AOL days. I had a basic understanding of HTML and knew my way around enough to at least copy/paste some code and write basic shit from memory. Whoever I met in a chatroom and became friends with told me about Visual Basic and how I needed $200 to purchase it. Looking back, he was probably trying to scam me lol.. but I didn't have $200 and my parents obviously shut it down. So I started saving.. we moved.. one of my new neighbor friends came over one day and that bastard stole my $157 dollars. I was in 5th grade at the time but it devastated me and that was the end of it. I needed to kill a few credits one semester in college so I took a VB class for funsies. Got an A but my heart just wasn't in it anymore.

But reflecting now makes me wonder where I coulda been today if I started writing code when I was 10 years old. Mighta been one of our great digital soldiers instead of a cheerleader on the sidelines.
