I've heard to the contrary - they have to provide an alternative for your medical condition and nothing more - aka, curbside pickup. And yes most people love to control others if given explicit permission to do so.
Most people are on board with wearing I think. I have seen virtually no push back except for small conversations on the internet, such as this one. I was in my first store yesterday, a local ACE Hardware. Absolutely no sign at the front door. And I went in and saw one of my high school classmates that I've known for years who has worked there, he was maskless. I said holy crap, no sign at the door? He said no - since the Indiana mandate disappeared in early April they aren't requiring it anymore. We conversed for awhile and a man in his 60s probably, came up to us, pointed to his mask - my friend said it wasn't required. The man ripped it off and said "finally, freedom." The strange thing was is that my friend was the only employee not wearing. The rest of the young women who worked there were still wearing them despite given the option not to.
My wife also went out to eat at a family owned restaurant last night, she said no sign at the door and no employees wearing them either.
The bigger corporations are most certainly the enforcers of tyranny and that can be seen with their big mega political contributions and them butting their nose into issues like "voter integrity."
Nonetheless, both establishments received 5 star Google reviews from my yesterday as well.
PS, for the last 10 months I've pretty much ceased going out to shop and dine and just pick up curbside. The constant struggle/battle for simply wanting to be left alone has no friends or allies IMO.
And to the second part of your post, the required public education is all about well rounded, which I disagree with. But it CERTAINLY HAS NO PART IN UPPER LEVEL EDUCATION including college. You go to college to specialize, not continue on the same "well rounded" path of shit.
I'm not religious at all, but then again I don't pretend to be. Think about it today how many staunch religious conservatives are too scared to congregate together in church because the government told them not too. I know plenty that weren't modern liberals to begin with, but after seeing them bow to these edicts has lost my respect for them.
Catholics especially is based upon repetition, tradition, and fear - perhaps that applies to most of the mainstream major religions too. I've always used to say about catholic mass, stand kneel sit stand kneel sit. Go every Sunday to complete your "obligation." What a bunch of BS. Because if you don't, you're a SINNER! Oh and don't forget to tithe!
For what good purpose does a mathematics major who can reference classic literature (which is a bunch of outdated boring bullshit anyway) pose? Or for what good purpose does an art major who can work through tough upper level mathematics pose?
Most of even the basic mathematics courses I've taken throughout public schooling and college have zero use in the real world outside of basic elementary level mathetics.
I was in middle school, wasn't really there yet, video games were my favorite pastime. The summer of 2003 between middle and high school may have been the most free feeling and exciting time of all - no pressure, no anxiety, the world felt as if to be at my finger tips.
Yes, very little of what any university or college instructs applies to the daily activities on the work. It just so happens that a trade school focuses more on the important skills that you'll actually utilize and less of the rubbish nonsense.
"Well-rounded educations" are a total failure but do make the universities and book stores a huge chunk of change.
Important work being done by our leaders.
