No offense but there's a problem when all conservatives send their kids to learn a trade and all the liberals send their kids into tech, into entertainment, journalism, and yes politics. That's one of the reasons we are in this situation now. And I am not knocking on trades or saying you can't make a good living that way because you can.
And furthermore, not everyone is capable of homeschooling. Not only is it a full time job, but you also need to be pretty well educated yourself to be able to teach your children things beyond elementary school level. I assume if you're homeschooling, you must be pretty well off yourself because you need a lot of free time.
It's not that I am against homeschooling or do not believe it can be successful, I just think if you look at the bigger picture it doesn't really fix any of the underlying problems that cause you to want to homeschool your children in the first place. This whole attitude of "the gubmint done fucked up so I'm going to do this for me and mine while leaving the world around me burning" is exactly why we are where we are.
