Here’s the thing, we lost this round. We underestimated our enemy and let them take both Congress and the White House. But we know we won for real, and so do they.
Now a lot of you are thinking that we will never win again, that we all might as well just give up and go hide because they’ll just steal it next time, too. Well with that fucking attitude, you will certainly never win another election.
What’s that, you say? “My vote doesn’t count.” Bullshit. I live in a deep blue state that Biden easily won without cheating. I still voted for Trump because I’m not a fair weather fan.
And to you QAnon LARPers, stringing yourselves along on your daily hits of hopium, stop relying on our Daddy Strongman GEOTUS Trump to pull the world’s most popular coup d’etat out of his hat. He conceded, whether we like it or not.
While one side is descending into a nihilistic pity-party, the other is banking on someone else swooping in to solve their problems. Both of you are getting lulled into inaction, guilty of the deadly sin of sloth.
Trump was never the creator of this movement, he was merely the loudest and most popular champion of it. He would never have risen to power if his message had not resonated with so many. Trump is out of office, but the movement is not dead, it is up to each of us to stoke that spirit and keep it alive.
We are in for some rough years, to be sure, but who would you rather become in that time, someone who wasted his days moping and/or shrieking, like the left largely did for Trump, or someone who cultivated his character into something admirable, into someone who can sell this movement to his peers, into someone for whom the media must strain its waning credibility to the limit to smear?
Fine, we can all take a few days to lick our wounds. But after that, sit down and find some way you can improve your own little pocket of America. Get politically involved at the local level, learn a new skill, volunteer at your church or community center, donate to your favorite 1A or 2A activist groups, or whatever else you think is important in your neck of the woods. Better yet, connect with like-minded individuals and get involved together. We each have to start somewhere, and doing something is better than doing nothing.
Or do nothing, and lose before you even start.
MAGA, and Godspeed.
