Not happy with Abbott but I'm not sure what he can do against the feds.

Same reason Newsom couldn't do shit when Trump was building the wall at the CA border.

"Teens" which probably includes men in their twenties.

This is how it always goes. The narrative is "families with children being separated at the border."

The reality is much different.

Dallas and Austin (where I live) and the other sanctuary cities can suck it. This is what they've said they wanted.

Yes, I agree they have subtler arguments that are harder to refute. I wasn't arguing with you so much as refuting the argument you shared. It's good to know what those arguments are, in order to be prepared, so I appreciate you sharing it.

Too fucking bad. Other people's medical weaknesses are not my problem. Sound harsh? Well these people who supposedly can't get vaccinated are not worrying about any side effects or issues I might have as a result of the vaccine. So why should I worry about them?

The answer is: nobody should be coercing anyone else to do anything.

Huge demand. It's a good thing since the cancellation.

Took a few weeks to get mine and they're worth the wait.

I said that gender as it is currently used is not a synonym for sex, and you agreed! It's your assertions about common usage in the past that I disagree with. As do many others on this thread that are old enough to have memories of how the words were actually used in real life prior to leftists getting hold of them. Good Lord.

Good grief. We're going around in circles. Of course he didn't invent the word. You've claimed gender was used interchangeably with sex prior to the hijacking of the word gender by the left, including on forms and applications, which is totally false, and you haven't attempted any demonstration of proof of this assertion. A dictionary definition does not equate to common usage. Do Americans use "automobile" in conversation just as much as they use "car?" Of course they don't, even though a dictionary will tell you the two words are synonyms. Irrefutable proof, lol. Take it up with someone who believes your nonsense.

Yes, ISIS is totally on board with this because they're down with the struggle.

They can't seem to get their stories straight. Women can pass the neutral test or can't they?

Thanks fren. Guessing by your handle that you have a MN connection as well.

As I replied to you elsewhere, what dictionaries say has no bearing on how the terms were used in real life. OP is completely correct, forms all said "sex" not "gender" until relatively recently. You are simply wrong about this.

Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

As it is currently used, "gender" is decidedly not a synonym for biological sex. We agreed on this.

Then you made a number of statements about how the two terms were used interchangeably until "gender" was hijacked. Those statements are simply not accurate.

If I had to guess, I'd say you're too young to know better, but that isn't stopping you from making assertions about how things used to be.

Sorry, but regardless of what the dictionaries say, actual real people did not use the two terms interchangeably. That is a fact. Forms and applications also did not use "gender," they used "sex." I know this because I was alive back then and witnessed the change.

Otherwise, yes, we agree.

Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

No it wasn't. It absolutely wasn't until relatively recently. People used "sex" in those instances. Then "gender" began to creep in.

How old are you? I'm 52. I remember this change very clearly.

2
Block_Helen 2 points ago +2 / -0

That is not an example. I'm talking about references to biological sex. People simply didn't use gender to refer to that - until the hijack.

Convenient for Biden, huh?

Now there's much less incentive to fudge the coding.

No one in my immediate circle of friends/family even tested positive.

I do know of a handful of people who died - friends of friends or family of friends.

All with significant health problems.

"Sanitation expert and a maintenance engineer

Garbage man, a janitor and you my dear

A reunion flight attendant my oh my

You ain't nothin' but a waitress in the sky"

That said, gender and sex were not used interchangeably until the introduction of gender as a subjective concept.
