Yes, I think that's right. But that's fine. The businesses should be free to choose either way. Hopefully the no-mask businesses will roll up and the competition will put pressure on the mask businesses to change their ways.
With the public schools, it's different. They're a monopoly. You don't have other public schools to choose from.
That's awesome. Need more like you.
Yes. But you said a heatwave wouldn't cripple your state. Of course it wouldn't. The other guy was laughing at northerners freaking about heatwaves, not making a "crippling" equivalence.
Normal Texans handled the cold just fine and didn't bitch. The people complaining are liberals who think the state has to take care of you 24/7, cradle to grave.
Yeah, Lone Star is a classic swillable standard American cheap pilsner. I know exactly what it is and I like it for that reason. I drink all kinds of beer depending on mood. Different beers for different times. What tastes good indoors in the winter doesn't taste nearly as good outside in a hot Texas summer and vice versa.
Shiner is full of caramel coloring. I don't get why people fawn all over it except for the usual tourist reasons. I hardly ever see any locals drinking it in Texas.
But, to each his own. That's the way it should be.
No one is saying he gave us freedom. Just like we also know that the Constitution doesn't "give us" freedom either.
If Walmart wants to require masks there's nothing Abbott can do. That's the point. There's no MANDATE.
Businesses that want to keep requiring masks can do so. The victory is that the other businesses don't have to. And therefore there will be serious competition against the tyrant mask businesses.
This competition is a good thing as it will put pressure on the mask tyrants.
I don't know. I think the tyrants will try to fight it but I don't think they're going to succeed this time.
Yep, Abbott is growing some balls so he can get re-elected. But hey I'll take it. Keep the pressure on.
Yeah, same here in Austin. I wonder how long that will last. Can we fight it?
Shiner sucks. Tourist beer.
Get real. I've lived in the north and in the south and it's not fucking comparable at all. Obviously a heatwave doesn't have the same impact.
Do you want Texas to spend billions being prepared for weather situations that essentially never happen? We should have snowplows and sanders and labor to operate them ready to deploy all over the state, all the time?
Texas isn't prepared for a winter storm of that size and that is as it should be. Massive preparation for events that almost never occur would be a waste of money and labor as well as an opportunity cost.
I'm a Texan and I hate Shiner and all that caramel coloring. Lone Star all the way.
Yeah boy. I have cold Lone Stars in the fridge.
Just got back from going out to dinner to celebrate. Our server was SO happy!
You're not wrong.
When you are feeling low, think of how truly blessed we are, pedes: we got to live through the Rush era and the first Trump presidency.
We love you, Rush. Thank you.
I truly hope they don't try to do anything to his grave, but I'm not sanguine.
Cool. I did see a few shots but not large crowds so I'll go back and check it out. Thanks.
Can't catch up right now, is RSBN showing crowds other than the one in the hall at CPAC?
Edit: never mind, watching now, but still haven't seen crowd shots. Just curious if there are people outside the arena.
Is this the live thread for Trump?
Where are you in FL? I miss FL.
Patriots/mods, please post alternate streams because YouTube is liable to yank any/all streams at any point!
Been talking about ivermectin since at least April 2020. I have some - you can get it easily at any feed supply store.
We have a local chain and they are definitely super lib. But there are feed supply places which are far more likely to be based.
Haha, it is always a woman. LOL, nice job.
