When we got to the capital and saw all the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people peacefully chanting USA or other things and waving their flags, I cried. It was so beautiful. So American. Coming back to the hotel and watching how it was portrayed on TV felt like I was living in the twilight zone. The level of manipulation is terrifying.
