To me, exactly TWO things matter in Reality, and they are both the same thing.
The first thing is The Truth. Whether it's favorable or unfavorable, good or bad, The Truth must always be put forth without fear or hesitation, as it is the only thing that can eventually lead to good.
The second thing is The Story. The progression from where things started toward where things will end. From God's perspective this is one small linear story, from ours it's millions of interconnected stories that begin and end seemingly at random. But things must progress onward, and to attempt to take things backwards (into chapters of the story that have already ended in disaster... like Socialism, and totalitarianism, and paganism...) will always end in disaster. Re-reading a past chapter doesn't change its outcome, it just makes you see it all happen again, exactly like last time.
