High school was long enough ago that our teachers weren't cucked yet. They tended to look the other way when someone like that got what was coming. Miss those days.

The amount of pressure these people can bring is astronomical.

If given the option between a guarantee of winning your seat and shutting your mouth now, or not nice things happening to you, your friends, and family while being guaranteed to lose your seat, what does any sane man not bound by morals or patriotic sentiment choose?

Mostly because in one of many coincidences President Kennedy was a high profile victim of a shooting that was done with a mail order gun while a bill banning them was stalled in Congress.
