Hmm, it seems to me it’s the way reddit was designed to affect American ideology. Young minds are very impressionable, and it attracts users at a pretty young age. Over half of the people on the platform are from European countries that have already been subjected to the socialist groupthink. Reasonable ideas are punished, and the more leftist your ideology, the more your statements are rewarded in most subs. This is a form of conditioning tied to a points system is very hard to break. Many of these kids struggle and find it difficult to find acceptance in the real world.
