Once the dust from this shameful election settles, I propose we launch the 3,143 Project to end this madness once and for all. There are 3,143 counties in the United States (subtracting those in the nonvoting territories). To that end, we pass this 28th Constitutional Amendment:

"Article II, Section 1, Clause 1 of this Constitution is amended as follows: (I) The number of counties or county-equivalents of the existing States of the Union is hereby frozen at 3,143. No county shall be subdivided, expanded, shrunk, or combined, without a two-thirds majority vote in the state legislature thereof, and a bill authorizing this change passed in the U.S. Congress and signed by the President. (II) The number of Electors in the Electoral College is hereby expanded to 3,143. (III) Every county in the Union shall have one vote in the Electoral College. The county shall select an Elector who is a property owner and has at least 10 years of history paying Federal income taxes, to the Electoral College as their representative. (IV) Congress is authorized to create a National Electoral Commission, which shall consist of 100 members of each party that appears on the national ballot. (V) Each county clerk shall be responsible for counting and certifying the vote within their county, and for providing to the Electoral Commission a chain of custody certification for the outcome. Each ballot shall be provided a unique code and stored in a blockchain or equivalent secure database. These databases shall be made available for public inspection."
