Guess you have never done surgery pede. For every 100 patients with invasive thoracic cavity surgery, four will die on the table or in the next 2 weeks of recovery. This is why we surgeons do everything possible to avoid splitting open the abdominal cavity. No one has ever been able to explain why, but once air hits that cavity, it never quite goes back to the way it should be.

It is not the slightest bit bizarre and the reasons for it are in the Federalist papers and the minutes of the Constitutional Convention. You need to read our founding documents. Educate yourself. In a nutshell, a national postal service is just as important to national unity as a common currency and standards of weights and measures. It also provides jobs for military veterans. The Founders studied every ancient nation and empire that made it past the 250-year hump and found that one of the things that they all had in common was a system of interstate travel and a government postal service, and that even Rome's fall was directly preceded by Vaspasian III's cost cutting of the imperial mail service to Gaul and Britain. Those Goths who by this time made up the backbone of the Roman military and now were not being offered jobs as mailmen, felt like second class citizens, so they sacked Rome.

There is no treatment and no cure for Parkinson's - only palliative medications like L-Dopa and dopamine that slow the progression of symptoms while the underlying etiology continues at its normal pace.

(Thanks for the translate, Schiffblower. I had no time.) Schiffblower moments ago A joint operation by the United States Coast Guard and the Dominican Republic Navy carried out on Monday succeeded in intercepting a boat with 15 immigrants and the arrest of two men linked to human trafficking activities and the organization of illegal immigrant travel.

According to a statement issued by the Coast Guard, the boat was detained in waters south of Saona Island, in the Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, those arrested were identified as Edgar Batista Matos and Manauris Andújar Manon.

The ship with the immigrants was detected by the crew of a Coast Guard maritime patrol plane, who gave the alert. The crew of the fast response boat Joseph Doyle answered the call and intercepted a 25-foot boat carrying 15 migrants: 13 men and two women of Dominican nationality.

Subsequently, a Dominican Navy ship arrived at the scene and took custody of the migrants and towed the intercepted ship back to the Dominican Republic.

After the operation, the authorities of the Navy of the Dominican Republic informed the Coast Guard that the two smugglers were among the intercepted migrants.

"This successful interdiction and arrest of two smugglers was the result of the strong partnership and collaboration that exists between the Coast Guard and the Dominican Republic Navy," said Captain Eric King, commander of the Guard Sector, in written statements. Coastal of San Juan.

"The results achieved today, despite the challenging operational environment presented by the global pandemic of COVID-19, reflect the commitment and daily efforts made by both countries to protect our borders from existing maritime threats and safeguard the lives of migrants who they face the danger of an uncertain and potentially dangerous journey, ”said King.

I'm 87 and still do an average of 4 surgical procedures per day. We're talking tummy tucks, nose jobs, boob jobs, even the occasional vaginal tightening. These bureaucrats sit on their lard asses for 30 years and can never imagine being a contributing member of society after "retirement age." Pension parasites, I call them. At least their trophy second-model wives keep me busy.

Puerto Rico declared bankruptcy in 2015. So I have lived through this exact scenario. Trust me, all the screaming and shrieking and dire cries of what will happen to grandma are bullshit. Absolutely nothing happened. Life went on as before. Whatever they are mad about, it is because there will be less money to siphon off to their friends and family with bullshit contracts for bullshit consultancies. There is an absolutely epic amount of fraud and waste in every level of every government, and they always threaten to cut essential services or teachers or something as a scare tactic.

Both Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk own ICBM's. How tough would it be to slap a payload on a Blue Origin or SpaceX rocket? The original space race was a thinly-disguised arms race between the USSR and the USA. Could it be...?

Live under the landing path for Luis Muñoz Marín airport in San Juan, the busiest (by far) in the Caribbean. Can confirm. Except for NG and USAF flights (and oddly some enormous Israeli Defense Force C-130's), the silence is deafening.
