So there's this term for when you're an expert in something, and you notice that all the news stories about that thing (in my case, surgery in general and plastic surgery in particular) are absolute nonsense and written by kids who haven't the foggiest clue. I can't seem to find that term anywhere. Can any pede help a guy out? Please, it's driving me batty.

Thunderous Support for Donald Trump from Jenniffer González

by Gloria Ruiz Kuilan, El Nuevo Día

The Resident Commissioner in Washington [Puerto Rico's nonvoting member of the US House of Representatives, who is elected to a 4-year term by a popular vote of ALL Puerto Rican voters], Jenniffer González, was ratified this Sunday as the president of the Republican Party of Puerto Rico during the assembly of this collective observed in the city of Guaynabo.

After receiving her appointment, her first and immediate expressions were of support for the reelection of the American President, Donald Trump.

"I wholeheartedly support that Donald J. Trump continues to be our President of the United States of America. I support my friend Mike Pence, that he will continue to be our Vice President of the United States," she affirmed in the event, held in the Cultural Center Yolanda Guerrero.

In respect to the criticisms that Trump has received for the supposed slowness in sending aid after hurricanes Irma and María in 2017, and more recently, the earthquakes that have devastated the southwest of the Island, González replied sharply, "I don't let myself be taken in by stupid noise."

Together with González were also ratified Zoraida Fonalledas and [former PR Governor] Luis Fortuño as National Delegate for Women and National Delegate for Men to the upcoming GOP National convention, respectively.

Also appointed to the board of the Republican Party of Puerto Rico was the current Speaker of the House, "Johnny" Méndez, as Vice President of the PRGOP; and representative José "Quiquito" Meléndez, as second Vice President.

During the assembly, which substituted the presidential primaries of the GOP in Puerto Rico, three motions were passed unanimously:

1.) To support a plebiscite, currently being passed in the Legislature, that will once and for all end Puerto Rico's "statehood/no statehood" debate with a simple "Yes/No" vote. [It is well known that given the simple choice between statehood and independence, most Puerto Ricans would run screaming from independence.] The law to authorize this plebiscite is currently awaiting the signature of the Governor, Wanda Vázquez, who has not indicated her position on it.

2.) A motion was approved to thank González for her labor as Resident Commissioner in Washington, D.C.

3.) Third, a resolution was passed thanking President Donald J. Trump for all the help he has sent, both during the hurricanes of 2017 and during the recent earthquake emergencies.

Pedes, I've said it before and I'll say it again - there are lots of us pedes here behind enemy lines working hard TO MAKE PUERTO RICO, USA GREAT AGAIN. They include people as high up as our former governor, our current member of Congress, and the head of our Legislature. Please realize we are working hard to end the corruption and dependency. Fortuño, for example, sacrificed being reelected when he let go 40,000 useless bureaucrats from the government. He did it knowing full well it would cost him the next election. Send us your vibes and good thoughts. And send this article to all your friends who go "muh Puerto Rico hates Trump."

(Also, I personally do not favor statehood for Puerto Rico because it would be bad for the States, but hey you find allies where you can.)

Hi frens,

I know a lot of us are missing magaimage.net and have fallen back to Imgur. But there is a new option that does embed here, called maga.host.

Not to be too paranoid, but Imgur uses Amazon Cloudfront (for spreading traffic load), and if you look in their code they are scraping all your info, from IP address to user agent to browser. Plus they don't embed, which is lame.

Love ya, pedes! Keep manning the meme cannons!

The next time you read another whiny MSM article about how Brexit is "taking Scotland out of the EU against their will," here are the facts:

  1. 5.438 million people live in Scotland.

  2. Turnout in Scotland was a miserable 63 to 67% percent of elegible voters, depending on district. That leaves nearly 2 million eligible voters who didn't vote. Add to that nearly 38% of Scots voted LEAVE.

  3. Scotland is part of the UK. There is no Electoral College in the UK. For the purpose of Brexit, all votes cast went into one bucket.

  4. Leave won 17,410,742 to 16,141,242 - a difference of less than 1.3 million votes. More people than that in Scotland stayed home.

CONCLUSION: Sturgeon and her crew failed MASSIVELY in their get out the vote effort, and they are scrambling to cover their own incompetence. Or to manipulate the Scots for their own political profit. Either way, they can frack right off.

Congrats, Britpedes! Happy Brexit!

FirstBank Confirms that Lawyer of Jeffrey Epstein Opened a Bank Account at the Institution

San Juan, PR (El Nuevo Día) Friday, January 24 By Rut N. Tellado Domenech

FirstBank [PR’s second largest bank] confirmed today that the executives of Jeffrey Epstein opened an account with money that belonged to the American multimillionaire, who “committed suicide” [scare quotes mine] in prison last August after being accused of sexually trafficking minors.

“In accordance with our privacy policies, FirstBank does not divulge information relating to our banking relationships with our clients. However, in this case, since this is now public information, we will clarify that FirstBank opened an account at the request of one of the lawyers serving as an executor of Jeffrey Epstein. This account is under the supervision of the Federal court of the American Virgin Islands and its funds will be destined to recompense for his victims,” expressed Lawrence Odell, legal counsel for FirstBank, in a written declaration to this newspaper.

The banking institution did not detail the date in which the account was opened, nor the amount of money that was deposited, nor the names on the application.

Today the bank also expressed, after several world news media such as Business Insider and the Daily Mail, that Epstein, who possessed an estimated fortune valued at more than $500 million, had $50 million in an escrow account at Deutsche Bank. “After Deutsche Bank terminated their relationship with Epstein in 2018, an inside source says that this escrow account was secretly transferred to an account at First Bank Puerto Rico,” The Daily Mail reports.

In the above mentioned report, it was said that Epstein presumably used several escrow accounts to facilitate paying hush money to women who had been publicly identified as victims or accomplices of the sexual trafficking ring organized by the millionaire.

· This morning, protestors kicked Ricardo Llerandi (former secretary of the government - equivalent to chief of staff) and the current Senator Miguel Romero (think someone as influential as Chuck Schumer) out of a restaurant for their role in hiding the storm aid and their overall corruption. See that here: http://tiny.cc/int1iz.

· As of today, more than half a dozen heads of agencies and two mayors have been fired for their role in this scandal, and the mayor of Aguadilla has been expelled from his party and is under FBI investigation for his role. This here: http://tiny.cc/g9t1iz.

· This month we launched a fully conservative political party, raising over 67,000 signatures to get on the ballot in November. This new party, called "Dignity Project" is made up of conservatives from all parties who want to end corruption, end the welfare state and dependency, defend family and life, lower taxes, create a business friendly atmosphere, and defend the rights of parents and faith-based schools to teach their children. The party takes no sides in the perennial statehood/no statehood debate. More on that here: https://thedonald.win/p/3s7lNK7/today-marks-the-launch-of-a-new-/

· Last summer we marched on the Capitol and expelled the governor for his role in the corruption with a million-man march. Now there is a new head of steam gathering to kick out the current Gobernadora for her role in the swamp. That here: http://tiny.cc/x0t1iz.

· And those Puerto Ricans who went to Florida? They're joining the GOP! https://www.miamiherald.com/opinion/op-ed/article220595180.html. A lot of this is due to the chaos after María, which opened eyes. The other part is thanks to our based Cubans in Florida, who have been hitting the pavement and going door to door, and to churches and festival, spreading the Gospel of MAGA. Thank them for all they have done. Not only is it turning Florida redder, it's getting back to people here. Puerto Ricans are a tight-knit bunch and the eyes opening in Florida about the Democrat lies had a lot to do with "Dignity Project." Another headline you probably never saw: https://www.wftv.com/news/local/puerto-ricans-helped-decide-florida-s-election-just-not-the-way-most-thought-it-would/876698084/.

So the next time some pedes gets discouraged about the news out of Puerto Rico and say, "Those [insert insult here] will never step up and do something, they'll never learn." Please be aware, that just as in California, there are lots of good, honest pedes behind enemy lines doing what we can. And we're a lot closer to the tipping point than California. Change is in the wind, and it's happening now.
