For any leftists out there that attempt to bring up a supposed "party switch", remind them that including Senators, Congressmen, and Governors, there were around 200 Dixiecrats.
Of those 2 Dixiecrats, only 2 switched to the Republican Party: Albert Watson and Strom Thurmond.
The remaining Dixiecrats lived and died as Democrats and today are lionized as Democrats.
