I guarantee 'they' (if you're referring to the DNC or any powerful people in politics for that matter) are NOT positioning her for anything. They hate her. She is anti-war. That is unacceptable to the power cabal.

There are a lot of us libertarians that disagree with Trump on a TON of stuff that's really important to us, but most of us LOATHE the current left so much that we are at least glad for Trump's stand against them. It's more about the culture war than politics at this point. Holding back the racist, marxist, hateful leftist movement is of extreme importance. For all his flaws, Trump really is a bulwark against them.

Dave Smith is the man. Anyone who is interested in libertarianism needs to listen to his podcast "Part of the Problem." One of the funniest and smartest dudes out there.

Yeah...they are a bunch of short-sighted, selfish phonies. You reap what you sow.

Hornberger is definitely a man of integrity. Trump seems to think he can fix these organizations (CIA, FBI, etc...) If he wanted, Trump could disband them. But he doesn't. These are the things that baffle me about Trump. Why would he put someone like Wray in charge of the FBI? There were a million better choices, but he picks Wray, a deep state stooge. I just don't get it. Hornberger is running (at least in part) on abolishing these deep state agencies altogether. I personally think that is really the only solution.

First off, just want to say, this is a great post and I'm pleased to answer all of these. I support each of these things in the list with the exception of relocating embassy to Jerusalem (I'm indifferent toward this)...Space Force (I'm generally against a new branch of the military, though I'm relatively uneducated on the specifics of it). I think Trump is the best president of my lifetime, pretty easily (Starting with Bush Sr.) I have some big issues with some of the things he's done and said. In my mind, when he advocated for killing the family members of terrorists during one of the Republican debates, he disqualified himself from my support. Now, if he could prove that he was just speaking flippantly and recant that, then I might reconsider. If I recall correctly, he said that you need to "take out their families" because they care about their lives, or something to that effect. I dislike the sanctions. I dislike the tariffs. I dislike his outrageously high budget deficits. And I know congress has the power of the purse, but Trump could veto these spending bills if he wanted. Trump should have Assange extradited here to the US and then immediately pardon him. He hasn't withdrawn troops from the middle east like he said he was. He's surrounded himself with globalist, neocons in almost every single cabinet position...and then listens to their advice. I DO really like Neil Gorsuch on the SC. Not a huge fan of Kavanaugh, although I don't believe there is any validity to the rape claims against him. Those are just some of my thoughts.
