Motion for acquittal is almost always introduced and almost always denied. Not that this isn't news worthy. However, the lack of context that they are going through the motions (pun intended) is mismanaging expectations.

Absolutely. The constitution spells out what government can do. The bill of rights exists to specifically call out what the government (fed, state or local) CANNOT do.

I too think the manslaughter charge will stick. 1) the jurors will be naturally incentivized to come to some form of compromise in order to reach a verdict. 2) the evidentiary burden of inaction is much easier to "prove" in this case. I think arguments can be made to establish that aid wasn't rendered not due to indifference rather the totality of circumstances and not being safe to. But it's just as easy to make arguments that hey there were 5 of you there and that fear could be considered unreasonable. That's not my opinion. Its just the counter argument and it's far more compelling than the murder arguments.

I've heard the "State is tanking the case" theory floated. I dont believe this. I think they are bending over backwards to try to get a conviction as evidenced by they got the Chief of Police to testify against a cop (dumb idea imo, im surprised there werent mass resignations the next day).

My simple explanation is that the justice system and burden of proof actually work (at least sometimes). These prosecutors despite their most sincere efforts cant make the case that Chauvin killed Floyd for the simple fact that its reasonable to conclude that Chauvin didnt do it. I think the prosecutors appear inept because they are trying to prove what is objectively not true. Facts can be a pesky thing sometimes.

Correct, as a new gun owner im learning the nuance between a rifle, a "pistol", and a short barreled rifle. It seems ridiculous to me that the difference between legal and felony could be as simple as how you hold it...maybe you know. So I can see the lower has markings for safe, single and burst. But the lower alone wouldn't be enough. He would also have to replace the selector switch no? In other words. It may not be an atf item despite what the lower looks like

Lol I caught the safety being off, now bolt was locked to the rear so, not as big of a deal, but we all know better. Safety stays on until it's bang button time

And in her testimony. When she had to rush him to the hospital one of his principal complaints was that his stomach hurt.

So he od's in march and his stomach hurts. Then 2 months later as he's getting arrested he complains his stomach hurts...couldnt be another OD must be the knee that didn't damage his trachea/larynx or cut off the carotid artery as made evident by the paramedic checking for a carotid pulse with the knee still on him.

Get ready pedes acquittal is coming, meaning riots are coming. Things have only gotten worse with regards to covid nonsense, election fraud, biden policies etc making this powder keg more volatile. Based on all this I expect them to be more widespread and much more violent.

I'm responding to the reply underneath. That's complete shit. I spent 9 years in operating nuclear reactors. Me and my shipmates were selected for that rating specifically for our abilities to critically think (no pun intended). That dude can go choke on a fat dick.

Fuck you Crenshaw. Gowdy already said it years ago. Congress doesn't make suggestions. Congress makes the law.

What got me was her Freudian acknowledgment that there are differences between male and female and the fact that hierarchies exist. I thought it was all a "social construct". That said she's completely full of shit.

When GEOTUS was running the show he flexed on folks. All day, every day. Some respected him, some feared him. I'm sure some thought he was nuts. None of them thought he was weak. If they thought he might be, they didn't want to fuck around and find out. Lo and behold 4 years of the greatest prosperity in American history, and landmark peace deals. So to answer Obamas question "what magic wand does trump have..." it's called a dick Barry, men have them.

No, no, no on so many counts fucking no. Gas prices were indicative of the demand for oil decreasing as a result of increased natural gas production. Supply of oil increased as a result of increased drilling, primarily stateside. By exporting energy OPEC nations no longer had large enough market share to manipulate production and thus the price. U fucking pinko bitch

Honestly I wish the BP would just quit. Something tells me Texans can handle this. Demmies won't like it but that's what happens
