I would like to know if it is going to rain tomorrow. None of the weather apps have been remotely accurate. Dozens of times a year I try to use them to plan something that requires rain or no rain and they are constantly wrong. They have said there is a 100% chance for an inch of rain in 2 hours and no rain falls. The local TV weathermen are much more accurate.

There's two types of numbers: daily change and actual data from that day. Most COVID tracking sites do daily change, which is why their numbers don't change. If someone was reported to have died a week ago that day, its in the daily change. The second type means that the person who died a week ago gets added to the total from the day a week ago. My state's daily graphs look slightly different from say the NY Times' because the state graphs are actual data from that day and NY Times' is daily change.
We don't need a stimulus package, we need people to go back to work. Never in my life have I seen more help wanted signs and the unemployment rate is the highest it has ever been. They are offering cash bonuses for low skilled/service labor. A payroll tax would encourage people to go back to work and let companies hire more people. Any COVID stimulus would hurt the recovery.
