They know if they push for (actually universal) UBI the response from their opponents will be ‘fuck UBI’.
If they instead push for minorities-only BI, the respose from many of their opponents instead becomes ‘wtf, why don’t white people get it??’ and actual UBI (the thing they really want) is elevated to being the ‘compromise’ position.
Her only mistakes were believing others in the movement had courage, and that it was led by someone with courage. She was wrong and subsequently America now has an unelected government and may never have another fair election. Jan 6th was the last best hope to prevent what now looks inevitable.
