People of this sort fail to see people as individuals with unique life experiences and unique struggles but rather as members of racial teams. Obama was therefore a win for all black people just as Trump as seen as a representative of white supremacy. For them, the idea of poor white kids growing up in the ghetto is an impossibility as famously espoused by Bernie Sanders. Aside from seeing people as members of a racial team instead of individuals with unique experiences and perspectives and valuing them based on their accomplishments, shouldn't this equitable hiring practice be proportional to their presence in the country or community? One cannot solve racial issues while making race the focus. An American is an American.
