They're there to provide security when Trump invokes the IA and hands over control to the military to deal with parties charged with sedition. When that happens, Antifa is going to lose it and try to burn down DC.

With Trump in charge of the declared emergency in DC, and his people (like SecDef Chris Miller) in charge of the resources (FEMA) and troops on the ground, there are going to be arrests for sedition.
