We're all barriers. Even the Trump supporters here talk a big game, but very few, if any, will do anything away from their keyboard.

1. It's human instinct to comply initially. We often believe that compliance is easier; it's common to believe that compliance will eventually free us. I certainly do, which is why I put a diaper on my face when I enter stores. The alternative is to fight each and every time I need to purchase goods. Very few of us will do that.

2. Everyone wakes up in their own time and their own way, but for many, waking up is really nothing more than trading one evil for another. Even the informed are slaves; they pay taxes they don't owe; they gladly cave in to authority; they exchange their time for what others think they are owed; and they do what they're told, even if they are "awake".

3. Some people trust the MSM and hang on their every word. To them, being informed means opening their News app and skimming a headline or talking to friends who do the same thing.

4. The men behind the curtain know #1-3, so they will keep molding a society that calls on the populace to turn over their liberty and freedom, one inch at a time. One day, the "normie" will wake up and realize they've given up everything without even knowing it. And even then, they won't do anything differently. Like Winston Smith, they will continue to go to work and do their job, and keep their head down in fear of stepping out of line. On the inside they might be seething, and if this goes on long enough and takes hold of larger numbers of people, there might be a revolution.

5. You're already a slave and have acquiesced to the laws and demands of the state long before now. They have you today, and they'll have you tomorrow.

Don't the stores check for masks? Mine do. Asking for an app that you have to scan to enter, or a document/card that proves you are vaccinated does not seem outlandish to me. Are you paying attention?

I can confirm. They hate us. I tried to reach out to an old friend recently on Facebook. Politics were never an issue between us. He said, "Fuck all Trump supporters". I asked, "Does that include me?" He said, "Yeah, I guess so."

I went on to explain the importance of trying to mend our divide and listen to each other, even if we disagree. I've never had one cross word with this person in my life. Then a number of his friends dog-piled on me. One of them said, "I hate all of you MAGOTS. At least own your hate. All of you are racist scum of the earth." The guy just went OFF on me while I tried to make peace. I never lost my cool for even a second.

It became crystal clear to me I was beneath contempt, not worth talking to, and no one was interested in talking peacefully with me.

Every time I try to reach out to someone on the left (and I'm a former Democrat), it's met with snarky, shitty, demeaning treatment. I have no idea how to even reach them anymore. You'd think we were supporting genocide over here. It boggles the mind.
