So what is the real reason that ammo is so scarce? It's been over a year so the manufacturers should have had plenty of time to ramp up production and make more money. I don't even remember what the inside of my gun range looks like.
A great illustration of that is Michael Jordan. I once heard someone say that no athlete is worth 100 million dollars. Before Jordan, the Chicago Bulls were lucky to sell half of their tickets to home games. After Jordan, they sold out every game and had a waiting list, not to mention jersey sales and all that stuff. Jordan was a bargain at 100 mil.
They all get free education, which is worth at least 100k. But beyond that there's a ton of money, drugs, cars, and women that find their way into the athletes' pockets. When a college athlete gets drafted into the NFL, the first thing they do is send them to a seminar to teach them how to not ruin their lives with money, drugs, cars, and women.
Back in the mid 90s I was part of the phone company merger and had to travel to San Francisco several times. It's an absolute shit hole. I hated going there. It starts at the airport. It's a major international airport but it only had one runway. Seems it's right next to a butterfly preserve and they won't let them expand. So expect several hours of delays. Once you get there, the streets are filthy and there's aggressive bums everywhere. They will follow you around cussing you out if you don't give them something. Everything costs twice as much as it ought to so just grabbing a sandwich and a drink costs as much as a steak back home.
But the worst part was the attitude. The people that live there are so full of themselves. I literally had one guy tell me that anyone that was worth anything moved to the coast, so if you lived anywhere else you weren't worth knowing or paying attention to. Some of these idiots had four hour commutes by train to get to the office. They would roll in around 10 and then leave around 2, with a long lunch in between. Housing was so expensive that they had to live 100 miles away and drive to a train station, then take the train into town.
It's a crying shame, too, because the area around SF is beautiful. The coastline, the bay, the hills, etc. But you can't enjoy it unless you get out of town.
Aside from the olympics, when did anyone ever care about women's sports? It's not a sex thing. It's just that you know they're not the best. Very few people pay any attention to minor league baseball or hockey, for the same reason. If I'm in the mood for a game, I'm watching the pros. Or maybe college, which might as well be the pros.
Imagine a future where no one can tell what gender you are. You meet someone, go on a date, have a good time, then go home and find out what genitals they have. This is the future these idiots believe in.
The other 99.9% of the planet know who they are and what they want.
My son works at Kroger. The employees and management don't care in the slightest about masks. They keep them around their necks in case a Karen gets on them so that they can pull it up for a few seconds until she goes away. If they're in the back where customers can't see them, masks off.
I have four kids. Our second was a crier. She would wail any time everything wasn't perfect. When it got to be too much, I'd just put her in her crib and walk away. She'd eventually cry herself to sleep.
She's in college now and we're closer than ever.
When I was a kid we used to toss those in the sewers. The resulting boom would have people all over the block rushing outside to see what happened.
I've lived in places where fireworks were illegal for most of my life. I still haven't had a fourth where I didn't shoot a few hundred dollars worth.
I got sent a snail mail from the RNC asking for donations. My initial thought was just to throw it away. But I returned it with a note letting them know they were dead to me. Call them out. Make them face what they've done. They thought if they got rid of Trump they could go back to normal. We have to let them see the enormity of their crimes. The party is dead. it's never coming back. When everything was on the line, they showed their true colors and it was fucking ugly. We won't forget.
The following is a conversation between Otto von Bismarck (the founder and first chancellor of the German Empire) and General Grant that occurred in June, 1878.
"But it had to be done." said the General.
"Yes," said the prince, "you had to save the Union just as we had to save Germany."
"Not only save the Union, but destroy slavery," answered the General.
"I suppose, however, the Union was the real sentiment, the dominant sentiment," said the prince.
"In the beginning, yes," said the General; "but as soon as slavery fired upon the flag it was felt, we all felt, even those who did not object to slaves, that slavery must be destroyed. We felt that it was a stain to the Union that men should be bought and sold like cattle."
I don't ride a bike so I have no dog in this fight. But my cousin the paramedic has responded to several motorcycle crashes. He says the only thing that a helmet does is hold the skull pieces in one place so they don't have to search for them.
