Grapes are deadly poison to dogs. One of the boys (don't remember if it was Ben or Jerry) brought some grape ice cream to his girlfriend and she left it on the counter. Her dog ate some and died. B&J then stopped making grape ice cream.
I wonder if anyone will challenge her eligibility to serve as President? She was born in the US but neither parent was a citizen. Trump made some noise about challenging people with that status in court a few years ago.
A few years ago I heard a discussion on the radio about WBC. Someone that used to be a member said that it's not even a real church. It's a bunch of lawyers that dream up ways to offend people, then sue if someone takes action against them. Haven't heard much from those chumps lately.
As stupid as that is (and it really is), restaurants around here are asking you to sign in with your name, adress, and email before you sit down so that they can do contact tracing on you. I just walk right by that sign in sheet. If they ever started enforcing that I'd just stop eating out.
I played in a golf tournament two weeks ago. My buddies and I went to a bar Friday night. There are mask signs all over town, on the windows and doors of every shop and restaurant. We walk into this place and there's at least 100 people crowded in there elbow to elbow and not one mask in sight, except for the waitress.
My buddies and I are all still healthy.
I read somewhere that the Chicago Bulls barely had 10,000 fans per game before Michael Jordan showed up. Once they signed him, they sold out every game. Dude totally earned his millions.
The demand for sports has been high. The money that changes hands is enormous, even without considering the billions that get gambled. Athletes that are talented and healthy enough to rise above the millions they are competing against to reach the pinnacle of their sport are definitely deserving of heavy compensation. It seems weird that a backup quarterback can make more than the CEO of a successful business, but good backup qbs are actually harder to find than CEOs.
The problem I have with sports (other than the current kneeling crap) is that there's so much money on the line that athletes have switched from win at all costs to stay healthy for as long as possible to make as much money as possible in their lifetimes. The intensity level is modern sports just doesn't compare to what it used to be when the athletes had to take offseason jobs in order to feed their families. Used to be a good pitcher would fight you if you tried to pull him from a close game, now they all whine if they have to pitch past the sixth inning. Because stretching that career one or two more years can mean an extra ten million. Can't really blame them for that but the integrity of the sport suffers for it.
No need to make acid. Just fill a tub with water and put a drop or two of bleach in it. Dunk your veggies in that. It will kill any creepy crawlies without being a danger to the food.
I saw that on Good Eats, so it has to be right.
This. If my kids were running wild and I wasn't there, then maybe I could excuse it. But if I'm right there and you address them instead of me, you're going to be addressing a pissed off me in short order.
