But is Gab a viable alternative to twitter and facebook, with lots of news sites, gaming sites etc, or is is an echochamber of conservatives? I mean im all for a conservative social media platform, but part of the appeal of facebook is that is not just politics, but hobbies etc as well.
Disabled/uninstalled some facebook and amazon apps too, but I doubt it will really matter.
People keep saying that we need to "hurt them with our wallets", but the truth is that at most a few thousand will do at, and at the VERY BEST OUTCOME maybe even houndreds of thousands of people delete twitter, facebook, etc. In the end it wont matter, because it is still just a drop in the ocean. Most people in Asia, Africa, the midde east etc dont care, and the big social media companies will hardly notice if some conservatives leave.
I know, it`s mental. It the kind of stuff that Alex jones would yell about (He is funny, but completely mental, and should not really be viewed as a proper asset for us most of the time) and not something conservatives, or anyone really, should put much trust into.
Talking about Jones, anyone know where I cant watch his videos in full? Sometimes I like just having him raving in the background when doing other stuff (as a comic relief mostly), but since he was banned on youtube its been kinda hard keeping track on him. His Infowars website really is bad, and they only show short video snippets as far as I can tell.
