I’d say it’s hard to argue that positive traits aren’t passed along by “the fittest.” I’d also say that if you think there was some primordial sludge and the current state of the world, including biodiversity and the natural order of things, came about through a series of happy accidents, then you’ll believe just about anything. These days, “evolution” tends to mean the latter, which is not only unproven, but arguably the biggest hunk of bullshit ever foisted on humanity.
