Honest questions here. As someone who has never gone to a political rally/event/march/protest, how do you go about it? Like what do you do for parking and how do you meet up with people? I don't actually go to events ever so unsure how to approach it. Second question would be where should I go? I live in Western NY so should I go to the Albany rally? Or should I go to the Pennsylvania one or take a massive drive down to Atlanta since that is where the massive attention is at the moment? I am someone who wants to go and meet others who share my views, but have never done it and just don't know how to proceed.
This tweet makes me sad. It doesn't have the reminder on the bottom the Big Brother Twitter cares about me. How am I supposed to know that this is a credible source and that it is speaking the truth? Please help me through this distraught time of having to think for myself.
Always for Republicans because I am fully against abortion and dems all support that. 2016 came around and I was fed up with all the RINOs, but hey Trump would be a more fun ride than Hillary. A few years later now and I am all MAGA energy, Trump Train. I actually found TheDonald when it got brought up in youtube videos about the Reddit/Youtube purge. That is honestly when my energy kicked in seeing so many other like minded people. Been good times since then; the memes, stories, and actual reporting is better than food.
I cast my vote around 7AM in upstate New York and I was the 57th one for my district which my polling place has two of. Already 100 people before me. Also my county went for Trump in 2016 so am hopeful it will go again. I am excited to see NY Pedes here.
The argument they try to make is that the business owners are for the patriarchy and as such only like to hire the bros.
The funny thing is though if you look back to the early 1900s you can see that when women were willing to work for less they were hired over men every time. The easiest example is the Triangle Shirtwaist Factor which had a fire. 123 women/girls died and 23 men because there were more women working because they were willing to be paid significantly less for the same level of work.
Western New York except for the cities is fairly red. They state is not good to live in, and I hope to move once I finish my engineering degree. Going to take advantage of that lower SUNY tuition since my parents and I have had to pay for it with state taxes.
I do need to become more active in my house elections since my vote feels pointless. I do still vote because my opinion is that if I don't vote then I have no right to complain about those in power since I didn't participate. Honestly just wish I could do more but have no idea how.
Edit: And the election map from 2016 shows that. https://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/map/president/new-york/
The best part is definitely on the "Emphasis on the Scientific Method" and "Objective, rational, linear thinking." It is amazing that they try to call themselves followers of science when they are outright admitting that it is despicable and not good.
Doesn't this move Youtube into the publisher category? They are deciding what content is allowed on their site. With the way current 230 laws are written wouldn't this move instantly remove their protection? Or is my brain too stupid to understand this stuff?
