This is true. There are two flags flying on my block in North Minneapolis, and there will be three as soon as I get mine up! Yesterday on a walk with my kids, we even saw a chalk drawing of TRUMP in a massive heart at the end of a driveway. Did I mention this is in MPLS? In Ilhan's district, no less. Freaking awesome.
This is rich coming from a university that, earlier this month, put out an article against homeschooling in which they spelled ARITHMETIC wrong. I homeschool my four children, and while not without challenges, I absolutely love it. My parents both taught in inner city schools and were so emotionally shot, they didn't have much left for me or my siblings. My kids are confident, creative, and are being taught how to think- not what to think!
I am so sorry for your loss, and I am praying for you. The relationship you had with your mother sounds so wonderful! How fortunate you were to have had that, although I can't imagine the pain of that relationship being gone.
I am praying for peace for you, and for you to be overwhelmed by the love and comfort of our Heavenly Father who cherishes you. I hope you can lean into Him as you are feeling lost, and know that the wonderful relationship you had with your mom is truly an example of God's own love for us.
