I was reading about nfac having yet another ND today and wanted to say something they shouldn’t need to be said, but we have new gun owners here.

Don’t be a fucking fool around guns.

Guns are a great hobby, guns can protect your life and liberty, and guns can put food on the table. However do not under any circumstances think that they can’t cause a life changing tragedy!

Be absolutely mindful of where that muzzle is at all times

Keep that finger off the trigger, unless you want to destroy something

And when you shoot, make sure what’s behind it isn’t gonna get obliterated.

Now with dry fire practice, I get it, you have to pull the trigger. So if you intend on doing that, remove the magazine (if auto loader) THEN pull the slide/bolt back. Look inside that chamber and visually make sure it’s not loaded, then do it again, and if you have to put your finger in there to make sure, do it.

Don’t be a fool. Don’t change your life forever for the worst.
