Because people are saying that Pence has the ultimate authority on counting electoral votes.
So what you’re saying is that Trump becomes President simply because Pence has the ultimate authority to count or not count electoral votes based on his personal belief (obvious evidence) that there is unconstitutionality in the certified electoral votes and that the “12th amendment” causes the legislature to vote per state, and given the fact that Republicans hold more than half the states, Trump wins?
How is the VP voted in?
What about the objection needed by a member of the senate and a member of house of reps? So pence refuses to count the votes from contested states and no one gets to 270. What about the line of succession? How does that fit in here? How does Pelosi become President on the 20th?
I feel like a lot is intentionally left out. The entire legislature needs to vote on this.
I feel like she’s missing a key part. She didn’t even mention one member of the senate and one member of the House of Representatives necessary to bring up a formal challenge to the certified electoral votes.
Also how does the line of succession fall into this? Everyone skips over this and goes right from Pence not allowing anyone to get to 270, to the legislature voting one vote for each state. However, there is a path for Pelosi to become President on the 20th.
There is much much much more to this Pence thing than people are letting on.
Ask anyone on this site how Pence can save the election. They will regurgitate something about Pence can count the alternative electoral votes for Trump and then say it’s true because Thomas Jefferson did it. However, if you dig into it, the matter becomes really complicated and it’s just not as simple as Pence saving the day. Everyone here is rightfully pissed that the election is stolen and is desperately trying to hold onto hope. Because deep down, everyone knows there won’t be any 1776. There won’t. Sad day in America. The sixth will come and go.
I did and this website doesn’t like the answer
