They didn’t anticipate two things.
Firstly, RBG dying so close to the election. They didn’t think Trump could get a SCJ pick in time. This is a major blow to their plan.
Secondly, Voter turnout for Trump. They knew his support was high, but they didn’t know exactly many people would get out and vote for Trump. His numbers were huge. So big that their cheating had to be much larger than they planned. Hence the halting of counting and these wild numbers.
I hope to God Trump had a Manhattan Project level of effort to thwart the DNC from rigging the election.
I don’t see any reason why he didn’t. He had 4 years to prepare for the fraud attempt at stealing the election.
I wish I was good at animation. I’d draw a happy Pepe in a living room eating popcorn and watching Trumps inauguration, then all a sudden room starts shaking and a title wave of tears comes into the room. Throw the walls and windows. Next thing you know, Pepe is now on a yellow raft finishing his popcorn and Trumps second inauguration with a captains hat on.
