I actually really like the way Thomas Sowell addresses this - to paraphrase, he describes what people think of as "blackness" as the equivalent of what the stereotypical southern redneck is to "whiteness". I think he's spot on. Thug culture is degenerate, and so is that southern redneck culture.

One of the most pro-mask, braindead boomer liberals at my work is militantly pro-mask, but also a close-talker. I always find it hilarious when her face is a foot away from mine, telling me how important masks are.

Ahhhh, mmmmm yaasss i think i understand what the artist is going for here: this painting is obviously racially charged: the artist's use of black and white in the modern context removes all doubt of that. A single black dot in a sea of whiteness. A single black voice who cannot fit in in a world dominated by whites. Yass, the isolation the artist is feeling is very apparent. Notice how the black pixel is purposefully centered in the exact middle of the painting: the artist is clearly speaking to the importance of giving PoC's the focus in society, elevating the marginalized and bringing them to the forefront. The artist's intentional usage of modern digital media as opposed to a more traditional medium clearly speaks to the progressing of societal ideals and moving beyond traditional conservative values. Profound. A new landmark in the minimalist movement.

I graduated art school last spring (and yes I'm prepared to be made fun of on this site for it). Have you heard about the all white painting that sold for millions? (I'm guessing this post was made in reference to it). Fuck the fine art world; its just as bad as the current left in that it is its own parody.

To be fair, this article is from yahoo life, which already doesn't sound like somewhere to go to get meaningful news. It is also under the "glamour" category which, again, won't be hosting any meaningful content. So I just see this as a propaganda fluff piece buried somewhere that I dont care about

Edit: this is, in fact, the exact type of article I would expect to find in a glamor lifestyle section. Vacuous junkfood not worth reading in the first place.

I mean, no true compromise could be facilitated by one party with guns demanding the other party surrender access to guns. Not when the party with guns can make it illegal for you to have guns. Welcome to the double standard that is government

Came here to say this. They don't give a fuck about Republicans as long as they shut up and do what they're told

Came here to say this. Rand Paul can suck a bag of dicks. Now that the dems are in power, he's doing the tired GOP exercise of "clapping back" at the dems but not actually doing anything. He's a cuck just like the rest of them

Though I dont know her, im going to have to call BS on her being a good person. Being in constant communication with that guy, lying to you about cutting communication with him... those surely happened while she was sober. What you've described of her sober behavior still reveals an absence of integrity. She lied to you about it constantly throughout your relationship and maintained the lie. I dont care what upside she has or what her other virtues are. No, she is not a good person. Good people don't do that to ANYONE, let alone someone they love.
