Dear Mr. Lee Fabrizio,
I used your report "Post Election Exit Poll Analysis - 10 Key Target States" from December to model the amount of additional voters the Republican + Democrat candidate received from the 2016 to the 2020 presidential election by demographic.
I focused on Georgia, as I have the 2016 county results already loaded in. To make up for Trump's large victory against Clinton in 2016, the Democrat candidates needed 200,000 additional “certified” votes in 2020 than the ones added by Trump. More than 80% of the votes Biden needed came, based on the “certified” county results, from the Atlanta Metro area, Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs, which has a disproportionately high black population. Using your numbers where Trump support fell from 65% to 61% among white males, I calculate that Biden had 87,000 more white male voters than Hillary Clinton did. If that is true, that is a historic shift – the first liberal popular vote victory in Georgia in decades or ever really, powered by a giant army of white male voters.
If every white male at a college in Georgia was registered and voted for Biden this would not be enough. Even every white male under 30 in Georgia still would not be enough, based on an estimate using the population pyramid.
Furthermore, there is no evidence of such a surge of Democrat popularity among white males in Georgia – not at Biden rallies, not at Black Lives Matter protests, not on social media… maybe on Reddit but not on the explosive growth in alternate social media seen in 2020 to today – Parler, Gab, etc. There were massive numbers of white males at Trump rallies in Georgia. Looking at these indicators cannot prove voter fraud. But if there is the “smoke” of a Biden surge among white males, where is the fire?
There are some reports that Stacey Abrams raised millions of dollars to promote Democrat candidates. But a report in the Washington Post outlines the target of her efforts: “Amid the fallout, Abrams asserted herself. Democrats, she said, wouldn’t close a gap measured in the hundreds of thousands by changing the minds of white perennial voters. They’d do it by reshaping the electorate, by exciting the expanding universe of potentially Democratic voters: the youngest native white Georgians; whites from beyond Georgia; Black voters who cast ballots sporadically; Black voters moving to Georgia from other regions; and a growing Latino and Asian-American population.”
Granted it seems the metro Atlanta population has increased from about 5.3 million in 2016 to 5.8 million in 2020. If everyone who moved to Atlanta during this time registered to vote, and it was this demographic change responsible for the Biden victory, Biden would have to win over 70% of the newly registered voters. And changes in the racial demographic have not been stark. “Between 2010 and 2018, a time of sweeping changes in most American cities, the City of Atlanta became just 2.4 percent more diverse, the [U.S. News] study shows.” Migration comes from both Republican and Democrat states like “Florida, followed by New York, Tennessee, Texas and California.” People often move South to flee high-taxes and other Democrat policies.
I used your generalized numbers across swing states. Can you provide specific numbers for surveys done in Georgia? Maybe Georgia was a big outlier, and Trump did not lose as much as support among white males as the surveys you used suggest. But that would mean historical increases in votes for Biden among other demographics, in Georgia that would have to be blacks and white women. Using the general numbers, there is already a 120,000 increase in black voters for Biden. Anymore would also be very remarkable and should be studied further.
Furthermore, given the failure of mainstream polling companies to predict state results, pre-election, with more accuracy than simply using the results from 2016, why are we to believe their narrative from after the election? I still do not see a viable explanation as to why the electoral vote was certified for Joe Biden on January 6th and would urgently like to know why.
