Well the other 20% get SEVERE ACUTE RESPIRATORY SYNDROME (SARS), and they need oxygen, breathing equipment or respirators in hospitals to survive. The Diamond Princess outbreak was more than a month ago, 7 (1%) are dead and 32 (5%) are still in a critical condition while receiving the best medical care. If these people survive, they are not going to recover back to normal, they are going to live with permanent damage to their lungs and have breathing trouble for the rest of their lives. Now tell me, what happens to the severe cases when there is not enough equipment or room in ICU units? .....You know the answer.
I'm well aware that the year is 2020... Antibiotics are to treat bacteria, this is a VIRUS. And because it's a novel virus, (meaning new) the existing antivirals do NOTHING! Medical researchers have to develop new antivirals that will work on this virus, which could be 6 months away, let's hope and pray that it is faster. We don't have a cure and the hospitals won't have any room, we may as well be in 1918.
