"The" anti-christ is believed to be the messiah or saviour of Israel until he sits on the throne in the temple at Jerusalem. It will likely be a surprise to almost everyone.
The temple is not yet built, but could be built in a short period of time, like a year, given a peace treaty.
The sitting on the throne in the temple (no person is ever allowed to sit on the throne) would start the tribulation. The first 3 1/2 years are relatively peaceful. The beast and mark of the beast show up at the 3 1/2 years and angels warn about the mark. Then there's 3 1/2 years of, well, destruction and war.
If they round us up, they will kill and rape us. Not in that order. And maybe not immediately, but there will be no escape. Just saying.
