My upvotes aren’t “sticking” today. Either that, or it is allowing me to upvote things 2 and 3 times. When I upvote everything on a page, then go somewhere else and come back to the page, several things I have already upvoted are grey again. Not sure if it is counting my original upvote or not, but I am allowed to upvote again. After 2 or 3 times, it “sticks.”
I hope some of you pedes are taking the time to verify this stuff, where possible. I don’t know anything about the site “hide out now,” and I personally don’t have time to follow up on any of the citations. I do know I have seen a lot of the same reporting in other outlets, but whether that means it’s credible, I don’t know.
Okay, that makes a little bit of sense. And if that’s the route they’re going, then I’m all for it. But I thought I remembered some mod mentioning that they would never have ads... maybe they will have flair or awards available for purchase.
That doesn’t answer the question. If you had a billion dollars, you could build out your own version of Cloudfare. That’s an extreme example, but unless there is a limit to the size you want to allow .win to get (which wouldn’t make sense), there is always a use for money.
I wouldn’t want them to divulge anything sensitive, or even potentially sensitive. But if the reasons they don’t allow donations are “secret,” then they can at least say that, and I’ll be satisfied. I just want to be sure they are not extending themselves financially for no reason other than love for the president— if that’s their reason, then I want some of that action, too.
