I have a sole leftist gay friend from my time in the "community" (which ended with my first Trump vote in 2016). He sees the BS. We can actually have convos and he has some center/right views but he literally cannot break his programming.
He was so close to voting Trump but it was like within days of us having a breakthrough he'd be back watching Maddow and MSNBC and every bit of progress was lost. And he openly admitted often that he "had" to vote Biden. He did not believe he had a choice.
