Canadian here chiming in to say exactly this. As a whole our country is so far left in some respects that even California is just starting to catch up to us.
Our Conservatives have given up on the fight against abortion, for example, an abhorrent and vile practice that I hate with every fiber of my being. And, through taxes, I fund it as it is a "right" according to our federal government that I am forced to pay for against my wishes.

Oh boy, up here in Canada they're using covid as the pretext to implement that same nonsense right now. Quebec already has a curfew in place: anyone caught outside their homes (without a special permit) between 8pm and 5am is fined $6000.

Be as prepared spiritually as you are physically. This battle is being waged on all fronts and any and every cracking in your defenses will be used as an avenue against you by enemies both seen and unseen. Trust in your brothers and sisters, lift each other up and be willing to shoulder each other's burdens, but above trust in God. We know how this ends and who wins, but unfortunately the journey to reach that point is a crucible.
