Tula is bimetal jacketed, they have some soft steel in the jackets and cause a little more wear in the barrel but that is not going to do any damage at all. Your barrel on an AR wears out regardless of the ammo you shoot because the high velocity of 223. Barrels are usually pretty cheap and easy to replace. Your barrel will wear out after around 20000 shots, with tula its probably more like 17000. There is absolutely no reason not to shoot the steel case ammo unless your barrels are $500 match grade. Last year in march cheap barrels were selling for $40.
